Topic discovery

Discovery is how Lyra finds topics worth ranking for. She searches live for trending topics in your focus area every day, scores them, and removes anything that overlaps with posts you already have. The strongest ideas rise to the top.

You do not have to do anything for discovery to run. It is one of the four agents and works on a schedule. You can also add and trigger topics yourself.

How discovery works

  1. Search. Discovery searches live for trending topics in your content focus.
  2. Score. Each topic is scored so the best ideas surface first.
  3. Deduplicate. Topics that overlap with your existing posts are removed, so Lyra does not repeat what you have already covered.

Your content focus and keywords shape what discovery looks for. Sharper settings produce sharper topics.

See discovered topics

Discovered topics show up in three places:

  • Today's focus on Overview surfaces the best next topic and up to three ideas.
  • Blogs with the Discovered filter lists every topic waiting to be written.
  • Calendar shows topics planned for future dates.

Act on a topic

From a discovered topic you can:

  • Write now. Start writing the topic immediately. See Writing posts.
  • Plan it. Schedule it for a future date from the Calendar.
  • Remove it. Soft-delete a topic you do not want. It moves to Cancelled and can be rewritten later.

Plan ahead

To line up a batch of topics, use Plan next 7 days on the calendar. Lyra schedules discovered topics across the coming week at your plan's cadence. See Calendar and planning.
