Managing agents

Agents are the four workers that run your pipeline. You control them from Settings > Agents. Pause them when you want to hold new posts, and resume them when you are ready to ship again.

For what each agent does, see Agents.

Pause and resume

  1. Go to Settings > Agents.
  2. Pause everything at once, or pause specific websites.
  3. Resume the same way when you want Lyra to run again.

What happens when you pause

When a website is paused:

  • In-flight runs finish. Lyra does not abandon work already underway.
  • Nothing new starts. No topics are discovered, written, reviewed, or merged for that website until you turn agents back on.

Planning is also paused, so Plan next 7 days and scheduled writing wait until you resume.

When to pause

Pausing is useful when you want to stop new posts without losing your setup:

  • During a product launch or announcement.
  • While you rework your content focus or writing guide.
  • When you are away and do not want a review queue to build up.

Your settings, connected repo, and past posts are untouched while paused.

Locked controls

Agents can be locked by your deployment through an environment variable. If the pause controls are disabled, your workspace administrator has locked them, and you cannot change agent state from Settings.
